Selling Clinique stuff on Ebay - worth it?

I've got quite a few bits and bobs of Clinique stuff - mostly trial sizes and things you get when they have Bonus Time - and I was wondering whether it was worth putting them on Ebay?

I've had a quick look on Ebay and there is loads of Clinique listed and is doesn't seem to go for very much.

If I'm only going to get a few quid I'd rather keep it.

Can anyone tell me about their own experince of selling Clinique on Ebay - prices achieved etc. and also if I do sell, is it better to list individually or group items together?

Thanks in advance.
GL.

I think you've answered your own question. If you have already searched completed listings and it shows poor or few sales, then it is probably not worth wasting listing fees.

Maybe keep watching the completed listings though in case sales pick up in the run up to Christmas.

That's a good thought, thanks. I know from other fora that people are quite into making up hampers for presents so you never know...!

If you have good feedback it can make a difference to your sale price, look at the ended listings for similar items but also check their feedback.

My best mate has been very happy selling freebie Clinique stuff on EBay. She's had a number of sales where people actually paid more per ml than it would have cost them to buy the full size items.

I sold a lot of 5 mini Clarins products last month and got £7.00 which I was very happy with because I don't use the stuff and all the colours were really dodgy.

Thanks all of you! Would you say sell in bulk or individually though?

Right my advice. Would be to keep different products seperate. If you have more than one of the same product keep them together work out the total you have in ml and put the rrp for the equivalent ml i.e as a percentage of a full size product (and maybe put a link to a website to confirm this).

As your seperating them up nick a pound or two on postage for each lot.
But do offer combined postage and direct people to your other items for sale from your listing.

And specify that you are a private seller and have aquired theese freebies yourself recently. There's a few big resellers of these samples on ebay and the stuff they sell is years out of date. I was buying mens stuff of a couple of them for a while and they'd just send the samples, but on a couple of occasions they made the mistake of actually sending the box the samples originally came in and these boxes have the use by date on them. 5 years out of date!

There's no indication of use by date on the actual samples but as a selling point I would subtley hint at the fact that others may be selling out of date products and that you certainly are not ;+)

Last year I bought shaving foam from Clinique and got one of those freebie boxes. The contents of these sold for more than I paid in the first place, so yes it is worth it. It may not seem like a lot individually, but it adds up. I sold mine seperately. But do mention the sizes of products - mls and grams.

Yes it's definately worth it, I have swapped with a lot of people for clarins and clinique, The best thing to do if you haven't got any is buy yourself some make up bags, then list them as gift sets, I always put make up together in a bundle and skin care in another bundle, all with bags and they are going for between £15 and £25 per bag :)
My first ever Ebay Challenge. So far after fees etc for 2007 - £635.72 :T
