Haven't used them myself so can't personally recommend - some nice ideas though!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

My son was given stirling silver cufflinks for his baptism from his godmother. He is 6 on Thursday and wore them for the first time last weekend to a wedding and showed them to everyone who would give him 10 secs! He was so proud of them and the fact that he was given them as a baby!
It was a brilliant present. They engraved them with his initals too...
Very personal present and one that will be used again and again when they get older...
Hope you work it out0 -
Don't under any circumstances look at a silver birth certificate holder!! Someone bought my son one, and I've never used it! He did use the silver train money box though, but has now outgrown it.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0

Back in the day when you could them for £10, I bought premium bonds but at a starting price today of £100, this could be pricey. Another thing I've bought has been a hardback version of Peter Rabbit books - I placed a bookplate (posh word for a special type of sticker sold in packs - got mine from WHSmiths, I think) in it with a little message. This was well received. Hope this helps.I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0

My friend speaks very highly of the service and gift she received from an online personalised handmade place.
I have it bookmarked as I'm sure if I have an occasion to go to I'll consider the gifts. Had a quick look and there is a christening section

The gifts all seem very reasonably priced.

When my two children were born I bought a plant for the garden so I would have a permanant reminder of them (as if I need reminding I hear them squabbling all the time!) Try R.H.S site for names of plants or flowers the same as your godson to be.H.T.HLife is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0
