Lloyds regular saver

OK, I know you're only allowed one payment per month (apart from in the first month) and they send any overpayments back to you.
Has anyone accidentally made two payments or a payment of over £250?
I had my A&L current account set to transfer £250 to each of my A&L and Lloyds regular savers. When I checked the other day, the payment hadn't come out for the Lloyds one and there was no standing order or direct debit set up, even though I could have sworn I added one. So I put another payment through.
I checked earlier and two payments have gone to the Lloyds account on the same day (Monday). I'm not too concerned about this as hopefully they will send one back, but I just need a bit of reassurance from someone who's been there and done it and got their money back!
Also a bit peeved about the loss of interest with the £250 bouncing around (even though it's not much). Glad I took out the 0% overdraft with A&L though - maybe they offer it because this mistake is actually on their part and happens all the time?!

Do you mean that two payments of £250 have gone into your Lloyds Regular Saver this month?
If so, then after a few days the second payment will be sent back to you. They wont let it stay in the Saver account.0 -
Suze, I was in a similar situation to you and changed the date of my SO from my Smile account to Llloyds Monthly Saver but as it was changing over it took money from the original SO so two payments came out in the month. I have just checked and the money is now back in my current account. Just to give you an idea the second SO came out of my account on 2nd and returned today (so 4 working days).Suzey wrote:I'm not too concerned about this as hopefully they will send one back, but I just need a bit of reassurance from someone who's been there and done it and got their money back!

Thanks for the reassurance. I still don't know what happened and it's a bit annoying as I set up a process for my regular savers so I know I set up the standing order. Well, actually, it must have been set up if the money has gone through twice! Bloody A&L - I'm just glad I don't have to ring them up to get this sorted out!!!
