balance transferring RBS and Barclaycard C.Cards

Hi,

I have a royalties gold account with RBS. I also have an RBS Credit card, and also have a barclaycard credit card.

I would like to balance transfer the amounts on both of these cards to 1 new interest free card.

total to transfer is just under 4k.

any recommendations, greatly appreciated

Before applying, review your credit limits - if the limits on your current cards add up to more than about 33%~50% of your annual income consider reducing them before applying elsewhere as lenders can be weary of furthering extra credit to applicants who already have access to large credit lines irrespective of how spotless your credit file is.

I was on about the limits of your cards, not the amount to transfer.

So say your limits add up to 20K at the moment, for example, lenders will be weary of giving you access to further credit lines. If they add up to say, 8.5K, that'd be fine.
