Hi there, please call the AA on 0845 607 6727 so we can discuss and help you to resolve this issue. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi there Debaa

do you work for the AA? Girlfriend/accountholder rang them but they weren't interested!
I have written a letter of complaint,it's on it's way.

Girlfriend received a renewal notice but due to thinking the AA held no card details anymore then the cover would not continue.

They were told to remove the card details a year earlier remember and they agreed.

No new documents were received by the way.
And we weren't made aware of it being a CPA/CCA.

    Do we ring you?

    Thanks,appreciate the help...

As a general rule, telling a supplier that they are no longer authorised to charge a credit card is not the same as cancelling the underlying contract.
  • Update...after writing to The AA it looks like we are getting the money back including interest charges!

Although the letter received states they are refunding to the cancelled Virgin card!

Yes, the one cancelled over 2 years ago that i was originally complaining about ...

    Give me strength..............:)

i wouldnt have paid it sputnik

the AA have a system in place to do their customers this way. you have to get in writing from them that you have cancelled your membership, to be sure. i had a scrap with MBNA, Business as it happens, over exactly the same matter. MBNA refunded the money - unsure whether they actually claimed it back from the AA. wherever possible i always opt to receive paper statements.

if the AA refund that card, MBNA will send you a statement with a + balance and you can tell them to send you a cheque..just get the money out of the AA by whatever means and then get it into your c/a;)
