Went to the sweat shop in meadowhall today, looking for some running shoes as I have recently taken up running. Didn't really know what I was looking for but the very helpful assistant talked me through the different types of trainers, and they even did a test on a treadmill to analyse the best sort for me. I was also allowed to test out different running trainers on the treadmill to make sure they were comfortable.

There's also an excellent guarantee that if you don't like the shoes you can take them back within 30 days and they'll fit you with some different ones.

Excellent service and all for the same cost as any bog standard shoe shop.

I had excellent service in the Gateshead Metro Centre branch.

I was wearing some cheap Reebok shoes but was getting pains in my knees. The young lad explained about how feet hit the ground and roll while you are running. He used the video on the treadmill to show me how my feet roll out slightly when I run which puts pressure on my knees and ankles. He brought out some trainers designed to correct that and showed me the two videos showing how my feet and ankles were more supported in the new shoes. I've worn them for a few months now and they are the most comfortable trainers I've ever had. Running feels much better and I'm not getting the knee pains now.

I told my friend and she visited and she is really pleased with her new trainers too.
