I am currently insured with Tesco and they had quited me a renewal premium of £600. Budget have quoted just under £400!!! :j The policy is identical as far as i can tell....same cover, legal protection, protected NCB. I called Tesco back to tell them...teh best they offered was £537!
Does anyone know anything about Budget?
I am also investigating purchasing the insurance via quidco as i can get another £25 back! :T

What I can tell you about Budget is that our local office are the biggest load of rubbish ever. I moved my policy to another company and they gave me a letter stating I had only 4 years no claims. Despite being told repeatedly they were sending the correct figure out, the letters never materialised. They then claimed to have insured me to the end of January when I had in my possession a letter dated 14th December stating the policy had ended. They denied that they sent that letter out. Eventually I went straight to the insurer of my policy and got a the correct letter from them and made a formal complaint.
I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole again.0 -
They are cheap, sometimes very cheap. But they are crap. If all you want is a basic service with TPFT then they are fine. If you want fully comp and need a prompt payout in the event of trouble, go somewhere else.

Kerrylou, I can't comment directly on Budget Insurance as I haven't used them myself. However, it may be of use for you to know that they also work under the brand names of Yes! Insurance, Post Office Insurance (for some insurance products) and M&S Money Insurance. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers0

I didn't like them either. Have you tried https://www.moneysupermarket.com to get quite a few quotes?OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090
