in Credit cards
Hello,
I occasionally buy stuff from the US and often I am not 100% of the security features of the online ordering systems some companies use. I am also not sure whether I get a good exchange rate.
I was thinking whether it would perhaps be possible to obtain a pre-paid credit card, ideally in US dollars, which I can use to buy stuff from US companies online. That way, even if the card details are compromised, my losses will be limited to a few tens of pounds.
If anybody has any ideas for any such cards - or indeed any better ideas for handling this issue - please let me know.
Many thanks,
SM

I suppose getting a USD prepaid card would be a suitable idea if you are worried about security etc.
Fairfx.com offer USD per prepaid card... give them a try.0 -

Thanks for this. Would FairFX be a better choice compared to CaxtonFX?0 -
Personally, I am not sure which (FairFx or Caxton) would be the better of the two. However, I know a couple of friends who have the FairFX card (one has a EUR one and one has a USD one) and they are both happy with it.0
