I would have posted this thread on the main board as E: 27/01 (daily) Win 1 of 5 prizes everyday with Argos and given the prize & Q&A for today. I would put a link on the end of the daily sticky to this thread for BHG to update the index. For the next 5 days a post would be added onto this thread (by anybody) with that day's prize, question, answer and link - but nothing further needs to be done in the daily sticky. The £5k comp starts 28/01 and ends 08/02 and should be posted as a normal individual comp (unless you can enter everyday).

I would not start a new thread everyday, as this would need a post in the daily sticky everyday, with more work for BHG. Also if there are problems or tips (such as posts #2 & #3) it is better if they are all in the same thread - you do not want to have these repeated everyday.

My personal opinion is that this is not a daily and doesn't need to be there at all. It is 5 different competitions with 5 different answers and I would post them seperately. Just goes to prove how much we all disagree doesn't it!!

Can be entered on a daily/weekly/ monthly basis with fixed answers for the duration or different answers which can be updated as & when

my interpretation is that it is a daily comp

I have to agree with one-eye's post and have posted pretty much the same in comps discuss

if posted daily it would mean more work for bhg and the BG's and the daily comps might also be sent to GO early so some compers would miss out on them

1) Would you also put a link everyday in the daily sticky?
2) If not, how do you think end-date compers would not be excluded?
3) Would you repeat the details from posts #2 and #3 when you posted a new comp everyday?

I would totally agree with you if it was a 5-week weekly or 5-month monthly. These could be posted individually without any need to put anything in the regular stickies, but with it being daily it MUST be linked in the daily sticky as this is the only way that end-date compers will see it (as most of them will have already done the 22/01 ending comps). Posting a new thread everyday is a valid method under current rules, but requires a lot more work by several people if we don't want to exclude certain compers, so is not sensible.

To me personally, the fact that this comp can be posted on the main board without the certainty of it being moved by a BG to regulars is reason enough to be happy. I would like the system now to work for all compers without extra work for anyone, and without giving people who warned of problems if we went back to this method the opportunity to say "I told you so".

My head hurts.

My initial thoughts (if I had been posting before all Hell broke loose) were that this was a daily. Maybe not the £5000 final draw but definitely the rest. Because of how I interpreted things, rightly or wrongly, I would have posted this in regulars, with a link posted to the sticky.
I have tried to do what was best for the majority. I'm still very confused exactly what that is. The only thing I know is it involves posting it on main if it has an end date. (I have to say thanks to Amilucky? for pointing out the results for the what is a regular comp. Looking at that this IS a regular and should be posted as I have now changed it to (perhaps with the exception of the final draw?))

I think this comp shows that no matter what the poll showed we need a formal definition.

PS I have posted a link to the sticky now as this is now posted as a daily and not 7 individual comps.

PPS if I had added posts every day I would not have added this to the sticky because then it would not have been a regular it would have been seven one off comps (the 6 dailies and the final draw). One off comps aren't regular comps. That option would have been less work for BHG (nothing to change on the sticky) but more work for the BGs (7 comps to move to GO not one).
