GM Card - Last Weekend

A reminder that tomorrow is the last day that the GM Card will be usable. I've converted to a Halifax Clarity Reward Card because of the £5 monthly cashback, and got a £2k higher credit limit to go with it. What have others done?

I scared myself silly today. All transactions on the card were being declined.... Customer service number not working. Found a number to use which landed me in India and was then told the card had ended business on Jan 23rd.

Still not convinced (Incase I had been duped), so came on here to find out if anyone else had reported issues and found this post....

    Phew...

Any ideas on a good replacement MasterCard?

There are a lot of options, but a lot will depend on personal circumstances / preferences as to which you think is right for you

I replaced GM VISA with a Tesco Mastercard (13 mnths 0% deal)-Club card points are definitely more use nowadays than money off Vauxhalls cos they have become so *!%* expensive !!!
Only downside was big reduction in credit limit (60% lower) ..but I never got anywhere near the old limits anyway.
As an aside, don't know why they couldn't have kept the website going to allow online payments whilst still deactivating the cards. Going to have to go to the bank to pay final balance off.
  • I was wondering if it.

Although the return on the Clubcard card is only 0.25% (or 0.75% on Tesco Rewards) compared to 1% on some cashback cards.

Have an £8.99 credit balance on the GM Card as well now as I received a refund for a transaction after I made last month's payment. D'oh!

Had a letter yesterday saying that the deadline for using my Rebate Points has been extended from March 2012 to January 2014, and that my points will not "Age Off". I have 2086 points.
