Broken toiler tank lid - replacements?

Hi,

We have managed to break the toilet tank lid in our rented property. Ideally, we don't want to get the owner to replace as I expect they will get a new toilet (at a greater expense).

Does anybody know where we can buy a replacement lid? The toilet doesn't have any branding which doesn't help. The measurements are 34x13cm with a slight curve at the edges.

Thanks

    Hi.

That doesn't really narrow down the search area.

    A photo would.

Back to the problem in hand....

The chances are that you are looking at a new cistern. It may be quicker and cheaper to replace that than try and find a new lid. If the land lord's OK speaking to them now would be good. If I were your landlord I would probably want to do the work myself as a well meaning tenant without the skills needed carrying out repairs can often create more problems. If I could easily obtain a replacement cistern then I would probably just fit that and charge you for the cistern itself at cost.
