Redundancy and benefit

Options
Hi,
I have been given my redundancy notice beginning 19/01 and have 8wks notice but my company has agreed to pay in lieu for 6weeks so my last day is I.2wks time. The company has a benefit scheme of 200piunds for gym subsidy which I had been meaning to claim but never got round to signing up wiv a gym. My query is an I still eligible to get this benefit even tho I have received my notice? It would come in handy as our household income is severely reduced. Thanks for reading......

  • You will need to review what the criteria is for the membership. It could be that they will not pay for it when under redundancy notice or have actually suspended this for now.

Not my business, but I certainly would not be looking to get gym membership - even with a £200 reduction - if I was about to be made redundant and my income is to be severly reduced.
