Flat tyre when cold

each morning this week (apart from this morning) I have went out to find my back tyre flat - i have checked the tyre and do not see anything wrong with it e.g. nails in the tyre etc. Could it be the cold weather? this morning was not as cold as the rest and the tyre was fine.

Take it to a local tyre fitter to have a look. It may be a genuine puncture or it could be the seal around the tyre bead and wheel rim is failing.

Of course there is that. :D
  • When you top/fill it up next, wipe a little saliva over the valve top and see if it's leaking there. I topped a tyre up in the cold spell and when I removed the air line, it was leaking as the valve had stuck in slightly.

Take it to a tyre fitter before the weight of the car on tyhe flat damages the tyre beyond repair, if it hasn't already.

This isn't the 70's Mini, featured on another post, that wakes the neighbors at 6.00 am is it?

No the cars a land rover discovery. I have checked the tyre for leaks by putting water over it and have found nothing amis. The tyre is only a couple of months old and has a great tread on it and no nails. Its flat this morning again so going to pop into a garage and get it checked - just didn't want to feel like a right blonde by going in and explaining it only goes down when its cold - only to be laughed at ;)

If it was the cold I think all 4 would go down.

it could be the seal or it could just need cleaning
