  • Hiya Sally, am I likely to hear anything about this soon? My husband Rang NPOWER on the 21st of January and was told we would be called back on the 24th. We have still not received a phone call, letter, email, nothing. We did however received a gas bill !!!!!!!
  • Just to up date those who might be in the same boat as me. I still havent been told if we can get any money through the back billing process. It appears the estimates were based on a possible wrong meter reading from the meter reader. 4 Months later when we gave a reading, they ignored it because it was nothing like the meter readers reading. Thats why they said we were in credit and reduced our direct debit.

Yesterday I received a bill for £255 for 1 1/2 months worth of electricity. This was broken down on page 3 of the bill, on page 4 however it said "based on the information we have, we estimate you will spend £347.72 in 12 months:mad: still estimating nothinglike our usage.

The total amount we owe now is £2342.90.

I rung them to see if there was an update but its with the executive department and nothing has been decided yet.

Today however I received a letter from NPower saying that starting next month they would be taking £556.00 Direct Debit per month :(:(:( and that this amount was reviewed annually. I had to wait an hour before contacting them because I couldnt stop crying then broke down on the phone to the poor girl in the complaints department.

Its one thing after another, luckliy their complaints department are very helpful and friendy but I cant trust the bills or their estimates. They have said they will reduce the direct debit to the amount we use a month (£150) until the compaint has been resolved. She couldnt understand where the £556 had come from, and she works there!

I cant wait to resolve this so I can move to another service provider.

    Rant over with :p
