Pears Soap

From the news item it looks as though the original soap was going to be re-introduced. Does anyone know if this happened or the modern 'recipe' is the only one available? I won't bother trying to find some unless the 'classic' soap is on a shelf somewhere.

I read a full article all about it a few weeks ago ( I think the Daily Mail) where the reporter was on a mission to track down the old recipe soaps. He went to many different towns searching out chemists & bought as many as he could find for his stock at home. He also mentioned people are now selling the old recipe ones on E-Bay can you believe!.0

Pears soap did change recipe, but that was a couple of years ago, they have since returned to the original recipe.
Coal tar was declared a carcinogen, and although it's not against the law to use it (Common misconception, T-Gel still uses it for example), Wright's made the decision to replace coal tar with Tea Tree Oil.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
