Hi Ladies and Gents,
Just after some advice really on what to do, after reading around here and other sites about MET parking.
After getting my ticket for overstaying in a McDonald's car park (at around 8pm on a Sunday?) I ignored the letter thinking nothing of it following what I had read.
Since then I've had numerous letters, including the 'Final' letter from MET themselves, which again i carried on ignoring but kept these letters.
Then again after another few weeks I received a letter from Debt Recovery Plus, so stuck to my guns after a bit more reading (to double check what I was doing was still right?), then today I received a second letter from Debt Recovery Plus, this time stating that I've got seven days to pay up or I may have to face a CCJ and possible legal action (I assume court?) with the added legal charges being added on top.
So just after some advice on what to do from here? After what I had read I wasn't expecting them to still be chasing me.
Thanks.

Just keep ignoring. The debt company have got it the wrong way round.To get a CCJ the case needs to go to court (very unlikely) you lose (very,very unlikely) then you refuse to pay whatever to judge orders in 28 days. So, as you see, the company has to go through a long legal process before a CCJ can be issued.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Ok, that's great thanks. But if they do take it further?0

The letters you have received are standard. Everyone gets them, everyone ignores them, nothing happens. Don't worry about it.0

This should put your mind at rest regarding a MET PPC ticket;

MET parking, trying to sound like the MET Police. They aren't.
Also you cannot just face a CCJ there's quite a process to go through to get one of those and you will not have to face it.
Relax, chill and just ignore their total crap.
Yes they do read these boards and it no doubt does their head's in, do we care? nah not at all. The law is on YOUR side not their's.
They are nothing but con merchant's, snake oil salesmen.0 -
Usual empty threats with the backside covering word "May" in the threat.0
