I just signed uo to the email service on the website and i got a £10 voucher off a £25 spend soon after...I'm talking hours.

but don't want a credit account and they won't let you just pay for it unlike other similar stores :(

I am not sure if you can use someone elses codes as they are linked to your e-mail address.

She probably is on commission for each email she gets. Weather or not they qualify/take up the offer is unlikely to affect her.

I used to work there and they had targets which were quite hard. The assistants don't get any commission they just don't get belittled if they manage to get their target.

I was signed up to a credit account with this offer last year without reading the small print - bad I know.

Just be careful as they will start charging you for the posh catalogues that will start arriving on your doorstep.

I work for next and often get stuck with asking customers if they would like one of these vouchers. Unfortunately, many people get put off by having to open an 'online account' when you use it. However, this account is ONLINE ONLY, does NOT sign you up for a directory card, and does NOT sign you up for a catalogue. Most shop websites require you to register your email address with the website upon ordering anyway (dorothy perkins, amazon, ebay, asos, very..the list goes on). Also, people may argue 'but it is a credit online account'. When you place your order you have the option to pay the full amount immediately.

I really just want to say that the offer isn't as bad as some people believe, and it is really frustrating when your boss has you stand at the front door smiling trying to get people to sign up for £10 off. Unfortunately, I am really good at getting customers to sign up...probably because I've been the shop's go-to-gal every time we are promoting the offer so I can tell the customer the terms and conditions if they have any Qs. It really is an awesome offer.
The offer has an expiration date, so if you don't use it you are NOT signed up for anything. The customer therefore has a chance to take it home and look at the T&C before deciding to sign up. WE DO NOT SIGN YOU UP FOR AN ACCOUNT YOU DO THIS YOURSELF WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER. Many customers like the offer better knowing that they are not registered until they go online and do it themself. Sometimes I think customers get put off by fine print when they are in a hurry, which is totally understandable, but take one away with you next time and see for yourself. :)

When you give us your email address they all get sent away at the end of each week. Emails are kept in order to see how effective the promotion is in increasing the online sales, therefore, they compare the email addresses that used the voucher to the amount that didn't.

To be eligible you cannot have placed an order with the email address you intend to use within the last 6 months. This is because your email address will be registered with the website. Accounts get 'de activated' after extended periods of not using them..all the info is saved, but you become eligible for offers to encourage you to start ordering from the website again.

The offer used to be for the catalogue, but was shifted to encourage online spending as it is more cost effective (each hardback directory costs £15 to produce, yet they are sold for £3.99).

I do not work for head office, so please do not take me as an official representative for the company. I have just worked there for 4 years and wanted people to know not to be so put off by our offers! :)
  • Hi AshleyAs you work for Next, do you know if you get charged courier charges if you return all of an online order,as well as being charged £3.99 for delivery?
