0% promotional deal on re-applying?

I had an Egg credit card several years ago, which I cleared and then closed.
I was wondering if I apply for another one, will I be given the 0% promotional deal on balance transfers and cash purchases again if accepted, or will they not do this as I am a previous customer?
TIA,
Carrie

If the card account was closed several years ago then you will be treated as a new customer.

Take some advice from Egg before applying.
I believe that although the card is closed it's still 'on their system'.
Seem to remember you have to call and ask them to remove it manually/implement a fix to ensure you're not automatically rejected.
Why Egg in particular though? There are several cards offering longer 0% introductory periods than theirs.0 -
Thankyou YorkshireBoy. Hmm, I didn't phone them to ask them to remove it manually as far as I can remember. The reason I thought I would go for Egg again is because some of the others I wouldn't be eligible for, being Platinum, and others because they are related to MBNA.Money, money, money, must be funny, in the rich man's World!0

I have had a letter from Egg today saying they are closing my Egg card (not the 1% cashback one) because I have not used it for some time.
The back of the letter states you can re-apply 12 months after closure. ( If they are still going that is with rumours that they are selling the business).0 -
