jungle animal number game, help please!

hi guys, my little boy who is 4 has been given homework to make a jungle animal number game ! now he's obviously not going to be making it but I'm stumped, any ideas please would be more than welcome.

  • Some sort of pairing game, cards with 2 elephants, 3 tigers etc? Like snap. I used to work in nursery and part of my training was to make a game can't believe they're asking a small child to do that!!

    How about a counting game where a monkey is walking through the jungle collecting bananas?

    So on page one he has one, on page two he finds another etc...

    My daughter has a book with that in and she NEVER puts it down.

    "Now he has THREE banARnas mummy!" (she talks very posh, no clue where she gets that from!)

    An elephant has 1 long trunk
    A bird with 2 wings
    A leopard with 3 spots
    A giraffe has 4 long legs
    etc etc.

    They see the picture and have to say what the number is and count the items.

    ah thanks guys some brilliant ideas there, home from work and get given that, apparently one mum spent forty quid in hobby craft getting things :eek: back of a cereal box for this little man !
