Hello
I currently have an 21" CRT monitor, no particular brand...well I cant find a name. Just after your thoughts as regards to selling on Ebay...as I know they are not worth much these days...any hints or tips as best to advertise it....start at 99p??? Up the postage cost??? Or try and sell somewhere different rather than Ebay....thanks in advance for your replies.

We had some spare monitors.
Personally speaking...
- Monitors are ten a penny. They tend to out-last computers, so people don't tend to need them often.
- I couldn't cope with the hassle of packaging and insuring them, let alone working out postage costs.
I gave ours away on Freecycle. Unless you think yours has a particular selling point, I wouldn't waste time listing it.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Or try local free ads.My TV is broken!

It's unlikely that posting and packing will come into it: they tend to be very heavy, so posting would be prohibitively expensive for an item which is not itself worth a lot of money. You'll probably only be able to sell to local customers, which can be done through eBay, or if you'd rather avoid their fees, you could try a free ad in your local paper or supermarket.0

They are a nightmare to get rid of now, bar throwing at the tip! My company just bought some PC's, they were ordered with TFT's but came with CRT's. Being genourous for a change, the company contacted a local school to give them to (for some publicity I should think!) and the school said no thankyou! And these were brand spanking new 19" jobby's.
Maybe you could try a local school, youth club, or indeed freecycle as mentioned before. If a shortcut was easy, it would just be the way.
