Do Gas/Elec providers price match?

I'm considering leaving BG after 6 years and wondered if they would price match?
I've run my details via USwitch and EDF can provide Dual Fuel at £90 less pa. Seems like a no brainer but I've heard some horror stories about switching, mixed up bills etc etc
We really like dealing with everything online and paying a variable amount each month and have not had any issues with BG for 6 years

I've never come across a supplier offering to price match. The best they'll normally do is try to retain you on their cheapest tariff.0
