  • Well I went into Boots for the first time for months - armed with my new AC. I got Radox deodorant free with the shower gel, botanics body glow lotion free with 31p razors, no7 mascara with free eye cream and free gift set, two mini hair products (Umberto) with free voucher - grand total - £7.26! saved myself the equivalent of 20 odd quid including value of gift set. Going back tomorrow armed with my £2.74 change from my pigsback voucher :)

  • In July I returned some items to Boots, with a receipt and was aked if I wanted a refund or a gift card. I took the gift card.
Today I took it along, with another gift card with just under £5 on it, to buy some 3-4-2 baby toys.
The lower value one scanned but the other one ..............nothing.
One of the supervisors took it away and checked with HO, came back and told me that it had never been activated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The manager got involved and I was getting upset. I'd been dwiddled and there wasn't any proof, or anything I could now do about it.
In the end 3 staff were dealing with me at the same time. They were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful.
End result was the manager taking my word and giving me the whole amount back, no argueing or question. I think she realised I was genuine.
The card had £17.50 on it...................or not as it turned out and this manager honored it.
I took all 3 ladies names and will be writing a very nice letter (for a change) to Boots tomorrow.
It restored my faith in Boots SA's today...........Bless 'em!

I work in retail and to hear that someone is prepared to do this will mean so much to these ladies. When you get a customer who recognises what you do for them.....and lets management know ;), it is a wonderful feeling and puts a spring in your step:) You will make their Christmas:):):)

Knowing that SAs are always complained about, mystery shopped and monitored, I often search out a manager to compliment a specific SA. Asda have a book that you can write a comment in and I have even received a letter from them thanking me for taking the time to do that.

It doesn't take very long and we all know what it feels like if someone has said something nice about us.

There is a further bonus to the customers ............ praise has a positive effect on behaviour.

I find that the majority of SAs, who are there to do a job, are cheery and helpful, but then I am polite, patient and friendly to them.

just back from boots. i returned £10.50 worth of toni&guy products because when i purchased a few days ago the sa assistant didnt add my points on 50 from the ac machine for any toni&guy product &300 for spendiing over £9 on toni&guy all she gave me was 42points so i emailed a complaint and decided to return the products- well i benefited the sa didnt deduct the 42 points from my ac card and also refunded me £11.27 back so i am 77pence better off with 42 points .
i decided to use my birthday gift card of £20 to treat myself- a new no 7 mascara and a no7 blusher with which i got the free gift bag &also a free fullsize skincare product(offer with mascara)worth £6 no7 toner.
Also wanted the 17 gift set so i purchased 2 nailpolishes from 17 at £2.49 each-the no7 sa wouldnt give me the gift set as i was 2pence short of the £5 pound spend so i grabbed another nailpolish and it came up as 3 4 2 so i got the gift set without paying the 2pence.Also got a sample of day&night cream and a lovely no7 gift bag instead of the normal boots carrier.

I ordered some things on line last week two being Max Factor items so that I could qualify for the free gift. Anyway I later had an e-mail to say the Max Factor things were out of stock. But they still sent the free gift.
