Social Fund say we owe them money

hi i dont think that amount would have been paid back so quickly that there was nothing owing on it by April - surely you would know this by how much was meant to be deducted as its usually £10 a week max
secondly if you cant afford to pay at the rate there asking you car appeal and have longer to pay and less to pay off the balance, however it will have to be repaid somehow0 -

And now that you know you still owe money from a previous loan, you won't want the new loan. And in the same way, had they told you last time that you still owed money, you wouldn't have taken the new loan but you would have had to pay the old loan, this time you won't want the new loan but will have to pay the old loan.
It's exactly what you calim would have been ok last time you applied for a loan, but with 1 more loan having been paid inbetween. :cool:0 -
i can certainly believe the OP genuinly didnt notice. when i first claimed IS, it took them 4 months to issue a payment. then about a year later tell me i have to go on IB cont based because they made an error in calculating my NI cont's. payments were up down left right and not paid at all.
its plain sailing for some. its downright right confusing for others as payments are all over the shop no one from DWP or JCP can give you a straight answer as to what is going on, then you find out by letter something is missing and they need more info that you provided so have to ring them and tell them you posted (recorded delivery) and tell the who signed for it!
so yeh i can genuinly see that the OP may have had no prior knowladge they werent taking it from my own experience.0 -

Are you seriously saying that someone living on benefits won't know whether they have £150 per month more than they should have?0 -

Why? Because you knew it would come to light that you still owed it, or because you didn't really need it?0 -

correct I AM. when you go through the process's of DWP constant muckups with money for a long long period. but until you experience it LIKE I HAVE, you simply wont correspond that your money constantly changing and the DWP NOT communicating as they should with you your left in limbo and a guess as to why things are different amounts each time they pay you.0
