talk talk upgrade

Hi everyone. I dont know if anyone else has had this problem. Talk talk upgraded my broadband to 8 megabits yesterday and now the phone is not working at all. It was working allright since I changed to talk talk. It just seems to be a bit coincidental that it stopped working on the day of the upgrade. I have e mailed them but no response so far. Not suprised with their customer service really. Thanks

We had exactly the same problem. Started on 18th October and the problems are still going on. After numerous calls to custermer service (costing a fortune cos obviously we had to use a mobile) day after day, we were still getting nowhere. Promises of text's or calls to our mobile to keep us updated of any progress never materialised. Eventually on 30th Oct we called the 'Registration' dept - 080000490049. The operator actually seemed to understand what we were trying to tell him and immediatley he said he would get us reconnected - great! 2 days later got a call on my mobile from BT engineer to say that he had tried to get round today (he wouldnt of gained entry as we were unaware they were sending someone round and no one at home), was'nt having much luck so would be there first thing in the morning. So had to arrange day off work. He turned up 11.30 -sortred. Well actually NO. We then had trouble making calls without getting cut off half way through conversation, crossed lines, terrible reception and sometimes no dialing tone. Back to customer services. Received a text from talk talk 3rd Nov to say the fault was still under investigation. At the moment it works most of the time but still not right. As for the internet it was actually slower and sometimes doesnt connect at all. This is a very, very short version of all the problems I would be here all night!
I really am sorry you are having the trouble but maybe if you go straight to the 'Registration' dept you can cut out the first few weeks of no service at all.
    I wish you luck!
