I have a Acrer Aspire 5732Z, running windows 7 and I am looking to find a hard drive that I can back up things such as films, photos, important files to.
Can anyone suggest one ? I know what size depends on how much stuff I have but not knowing what a particular size can hold makes it difficult to decide what size to go for. Chicken and egg seems relavant her
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
thanks

I have this

and its been excellent, it ranges in sizes so im sure there will be one to suit your needs, fast transfer rates aswell, plus it works off USB so doesnt need its own power supply, and fits in your pocket if you need to take it anywhere:beer:0 -
Thanks for this. I've been looking at investing in an ext HDD for a while now and have been looking for the best storage capacity for the best price. I notice the price is only online tho and £4 more in store, tho I have £25 Love To Shop vouchers I need to spend before March! I wonder if the code is vaid instore too or if I can use the code and then reserve and pay instore with the vouchers? Has anyone bought and used this? It says it is USB connection, but then when I sometimes read about drives it says also mains operated, is it the same with this? Which is better really?
I was also looking at the Seagate Ext HDD http://www.comet.co.uk/p/3.5-inch-Desktop-Hard-Drive/buy-SEAGATE-3.5IN-1TB-EXTERNAL-HARD-DRIVE-3.5-inch-Desktop-Hard-Drive/554022#askandanswer0 -
