in Credit cards
HI
I have 2 credit cards, a barcleycard and a caravan club card. I have had them both for a few years. A few years ago barclays took over caravanclub, both have different interest rates. I have asked if they can merge the two for one payment, they have said no. I have asked the bank for a loan to pay off the cards, they say they cannot help. They seem quite happy for me to keep paying these cards separately. Can anyone help please. Any suggestions?

You need to look at your credit file? Have you had problems with credit in the past? Missed or late payments? What is your income and how much do you owe on the credit cards? And their limits? There answers need to be answered so we can get a clearer picture!0

Well they won't merge the cards I suppose because they will lose money on the interest you are paying on the higher card and they may refuse the loan based on the credit you have available from those two cards. My advice would be check out your credit reports and if everything is in order with them then apply for a card which offers a 0% balance transfer from a company which is not Barclays. Transfer as much of the balance over as you can then pay off anything left over and enjoy your interest free period on your new card and see if you can save enough to pay off what ever will be left at the end of your interest free period. There's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.0 -
They will not merge the cards as they are 2 separate accounts with different T+C and different rates of interest, the computer would probably only allow a balance transfer. It's not they won't but cannot!0
