Lexmark Printers - are they really worth avoiding?

If you decide to look at HP, they have distinct inkjet ranges with different strengths. Photosmart printers are optimised for photo printing, while OfficeJet devices are aimed at general office/home office use. The OfficeJets are designed to give lower running costs for people printing predominantly text with some colour graphics.
I've had an Officejet 6500 for a year now which has been great - buy the 'XL' cartridges and running costs are pretty reasonable.Long-haul Supporters DFW 120

Now to throw another spanner in the works, have a look at Brother printers, I have tried all of the others, Canon, HP, Lexmark, Epsons.
I buy compatible cartridges for my 3 Brother printers for under a quid delivered, never, ever any problems with them.0
