Hi all,
I have a question. Last night a guy pulled out on me, and scraped all the passenger side of my car (and slightly buckling my door). He gave me most of his details, then called me late last night with the rest, i.e. insurance pol number...etc
I called my insurance comp today, and they've opened the case, as he has admitted responsibility to me.
The thing is, although the claim will go against his insurance, will I personally loose the no claims (2 years, unprotected) on my premium?
Any help or advise would be really appreciated.

No you wont loose your no claim bonus as he has admitted liability. It may put your premium up a little bit come renewal but there is nothing you can do about that except remember to always shop around when your renewal is due0

Provided you recover your excess and your insurance company recover the full cost of repairs your no claim discount remain the same level ie 2 years NCD.

As long as he doesnt hold you liable at all (people often change their minds) then it wont affect your NCD
As you are TPFT cover there is no cover under your own policy for your damages but if you have legal expenses insurance someone should be appointed to assist you in claiming from his insurance. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Hmm, well it was at the Dartford Tunnel Toll booth, so should be CCTV, plus I had someone in the car as a witness, whereas he didn't...
Just had a call from the 'solicitor' company about it all, so looks like already been passed to them... hmmSmile... it's free0
