Question about Halifax / Lloyds On-line mortgage balances

Does anyone know if this change over will mean that the Halifax will show you a daily balance rather than the monthly one on-line?
Anyone with Lloyds at the minute? What do you get daily / monthly?
Thanks Heg

I'm not sure exactly how the online balance system works with Halifax mortgages:
Generally mine only changes once a month - they seem to add up all the interest and take it off the payment I make then adjust the balance on the payment date.
However, if I go into the branch and make an overpayment (using the stone age 'take £300 in cash out of your current account and pay £300 in cash into your mortgage account' method) the balance will be updated online the following day.
Why it's not done in realtime like with other accounts I do not know.0 -

Thanks for your replies. I had hoped my balance would change daily and that I'd be able to pay an oddments off the mortgage rather than calling to overpay a larger sum. Will have to sit and wait! xStarting again and working towards our new df life!A very proud forces wife0
