My Apologies if starting a new thread is deemed unnecessary, I'm new and needed some advice.
I recieved a lovely parking fine from CP plus December for a beautiful £50 raising to £80 after 14 days.
After reading these threads I have taken the advice and simply ignored them. However yesterday I recieved another one saying it had raised to £120.
Still not paid, but I am getting rather nervous.
Am I doing the right thing?

Definitely, file all rec'd in bottom drawer and relax. You've got a few more letters to go the silence.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

in a similar position; the last threat I rec'd was for £120.
will I be ignoring it? does the pope wear a funny hat? does a bear return from the woods refreshed?
they've got more chance of being served at my local by the pope himself.
make mine a large one, your holiness.0 -
To say that I'm not a little worried would be a lie.
I will continue to ignore, I'll upload my copy of the follow up letters if people wish?0 -
Don,t worry its normal procedure it goes up. Then as they get desperate it starts going down again! As a gesture of goodwill of course!0

I know they can seem intimidating but they are designed to be so. Its just a normal letter chain. It will be the PPC then maybe a DCA, and possibly a solicitor whos only input would be charging the PPC a couple of quid for a letterhead.
Remember at the moment its costing them a few pence to try and gain £120. Going to court would cost them, and its really not cost effective. Even if they won which is highly unlikely.
It is more viable to them to move on to the next mug who may pay!0 -
countless times, people have demanded the PPC's provide clear, irrefutable evidence of court rulings in favour of PPC's.saddler_andy wrote: »To say that I'm not a little worried would be a lie.

nothing. zilch. nowt. (excluding the oldham case 2008, and even that appears dodgy).
if you seriously believe that the PPC will put the boot in and make you 'success case no.2' then you should call by my local and order a pint of holy water.

Yes but not here, sorry to say that all new threads are lost into obscurity in the end!
New letters can be added as a reply on the 'PPC letters, what to expect' sticky if you get any letters which are different than those already known, have you looked at the pictures already there?. Any queries about your letters and how to put them there, pm Crabman the thread starter.

Yes.
Carry on ignoring.
They will, eventually, go away."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".
"The Centuries that divide me shall be undone."
"A dream? Really, Doctor. You'll be consulting the entrails of a sheep next. "0 -
my dealings thus far with CP Plus:
despite three tickets, only two letters from Trethowans Solicitors with the usual threatening bluster about being taken to court. no further correspondence over 3 months later and no letters from CP Plus themselves about the sum increasing due to non-payment.0
