Vanquis to Natwest Balance Transfer

in Credit cards
So, like many on here, I guess, I had to resort to the Vanquis road to credit revival after a few years of reckless student life! Had the card a couple of years now, have been pretty good with making payments, but my balance has kind of crept up towards the £1k mark.
I bank with Natwest, and when on the phone to them, they asked if I would be interested in their Platinum Credit Card. I said OK, assuming I would be delined, but they accepted me for it, and I gave them my Vanquis account number for the Balance Transfer (Interest Free for 16 months)
Just browsing around the forum, and I see that Vanquis (unsurprisingly) do not permit Balance Transfers outwards from them to other cards? I see a lot of people say that providing their account details to your provider can work, however I have seen other people say that this will be classified as a cash advance, therefore losing me my 16 monts interest free period.
Has anyone ever moved a balance from Vanquis to Natwest? Can anyone let me know where I am likely to be left standing?
Thanks in advance
James

I transferred a balance from Vanquis to an RBS platinum card a couple of months ago and had no problem. I assume Natwest will be the same just phone them and give them the details and it should be sorted quickly. Mine was done within 7 days i think!0

Do you have a purchase special rate? Thats the way i have gotten around it.
My new halifax card had 9 mth 0% on BTs and 12 on purchases. Vanquis woulnt accept the BT so i just called the payment line and paid the vanquis balance off using my halifax credit card..thus getting 12 months interest free instead of 9.
Maybe an option if they offer a 0% for purchases?0
