Will soon be out of a job, late last year I was enrolled on a course by my line manager an accountancy course. Although I had reservations about this i tried it to see how I got on but found it difficult. I did mention this to the my manager but i think at the time I felt pressurised into doing the course. I had to sign a contract and it states if you leave and do not complete the course you have to pay £1800. If you are made redundant and only attend 2 sessions i do not think its fair to pay the full amount.
Look forward to hearing some feedback.

Anything signed under duress is of questionable legality and if this is a redundancy matter then I don't see how you could be held liable, it's out of your hands.~*~ If you don't need it, it isn't a bargain ~*~0

Usually if you are made redundant you shouldn't have to pay, as it's not your fault you left employment.
I wouldn't pay it. But that's just me.0 -
however in the mean time go to the sessions if they are still on - even if you sit there not getting it - that way you haven't dropped out before getting made redundant...

I was in a similar boat, and was told that as I wasn't leaving through choice I didn't have to pay them back. But yes to keeping going on the course: if nothing else you can add it to your CV if you go!"Every single person has at least one secret that would break your heart.
