Citibank Sterling Current a/c - min. income?

I applied for a Citibank Sterling Current Account via Quidco and have just received the application pack.
The Application Checklist states: you must earn
However, the Terms & Conditions (Sterling Current Account, 6) state: You will only be eligible for a cheque book if your gross annual salary is >20K and you have domiciled your salary into the account.
The T&Cs suggest to me that, with a salary below 20K you can get the account, just no cheque book.
Can anyone confirm what the situation is?

Just opened one of these accounts, you have to earn 20k a year or deposit 2000 pounds in order to get the cheque book.
For the debit card I believe you can still apply mainly because when I queried what card I was likely to get they have three different cards available.
1. Cashcard
2. Visa Debit Card
3. Visa Debit Card with cheque guarantee
In any case you don't have to prove your income just send the other ID documents in.0 -

I've applied and been accepted and earn less than £20k. I think if you put that you don't require the free £500 overdraft that helps.Only when the last tree has died
and the last river has been poisoned
and the last fish has been caught
will we realise we cannot eat money0
