Please don't be sure that the CSA are not as stupid as we think they are, they will make people homeless without a care. Remember that they are not here to get money for the children but the Gov and that is all.

The reality is that you will I am sorry to say have to go through your finances and see if you can make any savings anywhere. It would be almost pointless to say try and find an extra income from somewhere, as they will only take more as a result.

I don't know what the chances are of you being able to find cheaper accommodation, but it has to be looked at as well.

Not much help but the best I can do. Sorry mate.

Im not sure if I follow this right.

If the NRP is made homeless following a decision by the CSA, and has children living with him, then that puts him top priority for authority housing under the emergency rules.

This approach by the CSA achieves quite the opposite and saves nobody any money.

    yeah right.

the emergency lists are sull of waynetta slobs and vicki pollards, ex crims, immigrants and any other bloody minority you can name.

as an nrp made homeless by the csa, you will be at the bottom of the pile.

I agree that you will be a priority case for housing! However please don't think for one second that this is something that the CSA will be bothered about, as they wont. All they will see is that they have recovered money for the Government, end of.

They care not even a little about the mayhem that they leave in their wake! Be it a destroyed family unit, a life [as has been found by the Courts and stated in Parliament] or the finical ruin of people and the country by way of loading the tax payer with further debt. In the event that anyone is made homeless don't kid yourself, it is the tax payer that picks up the bill.

My understanding is that it cost the CSA apx £1.80 to collect £1.00, this may have changed but not by much, I leave to you as to weather this is a good deal for the tax payer!

Please remember I never said it made sense!

Latest figures say it costs taxpayers 40p to collect £1 of CM.

I have no personal experience. But i do have 2 male friends (one in his 30's and 1 in his 40's) both paying so much in CSA that they have each had to move back in with their parents, because they can't even afford shared accommodation.

What would happen to them if they didn't have parents to fall back on.. answer: no home, therefore likely to lose their jobs.. no longer paying csa and claiming benefits.. surely a lose/lose situation

Poor guys! Lets remember that they both are only giving up to 25 percent of their income. (and thats for 3 kids) If they have one child, they are paying 15% of their take home income.....did they tell you this before you decided to feel this sorry for them?

Of course, they may have been obstructive and not 'offered' to support their children, in which case they may be paying 40% of their income (in arrears).

I can't really feel very sorry for people that fall into this category, rarely is it through anyones fault but their own.

You have forgotten one very important thing here, the arrears may have been run up by CSA failure, and nothing to do with the actions of the NRP. If the CSA were blameless then sites like this would simply not exist for people to get help with the incompetence that they have in dealing with just about every case.

I have arrears and they have been proved to be as a result of the failings of the CSA by both ICE and the Ombudsman. It is all to easy to blame the NRP we are a sitting target and in many cases this is simple not the case!

You said it no one else did, so who are we to disagree with your opinion of yourself?
