Interior Design Inspiration

Hello there kind folks of MSE, I've just bought my first apartment and have free reign to decorate it whatever way I like. My problem is I'm a single bloke with no interior design skills or style. Without hiring an interior designer does anybody have any tips on how to get some inspiration? I.e. what sources of inspiration…

Ideal Home website has lots of style pictures of different rooms, too.

Use tester pots on larger pieces of newspaper or packing paper - they can be moved around and stuck to walls with blu tack, and can be made as large as you want.
