Apparently Abbey are now going to charge £1 a day for all accounts except Zero capped at 15 and 20 days respectively from 16th March 2012...its Halfax all over again.
I know this isnt the way to do it but I increased my natwest overdraft by £400 and will now closed my Abbey after I have been a customer of theres for 24 years.
So annoyed.0 -
Guy Anker's article dated 18th Jan on this site seems to be incorrect. Looking at the Santander website there is nothing to say charges are being increased to £1 per day from 16th March. The numbers of days being charged is increasing but the fee is staying at 50p.
Despite this I am still more than happy at moving my account to Santander from the Halifax who charge £1 per day with no cap on the number of days charged !!0 -

Above from Santander website...no mention of £1 per day.
As previously posted still better than the Halifax.0 -
From 16th of March 2012 it's going to be £1 daily arranged overdraft fee.
I can't post a link but on santander website there is a link to this information on the right hand side.0
