Chances of obtaining Virgin C/C

Hi,
I applied for a Virgin C/C the other day on-line. Wasn't refused straight away. Instead said further checks to be conducted and i should hear within 7/10 days.

In the past my credit was poor a few defaults etc.... years ago. All paid now...have own mortgage, car finance, loan (paid off)3 C/C's RBS, Capital one(pay it off iin full every month) and the dreaded Vanquis 2.5k limit...currently £500 o/s.....

I applied for the Virgin card to transfer the Vanquis balance and get rid of it.

I've been at my current address for over 5yrs on voters roll etc... not missed pymts on anything but i do know that a default or 2 may still show up on my file even though settled.

I applied for a Virgin card before and was refused straight away. Do you think I may possibly get one now ??? Has anyone had this experience from Virgin C/C online and got one or just received the thanks but no thanks letter ????
