I am looking to get a 1TB NAS probably from Ebay so I can stream my music via my router at home. What do I have to be aware of or look out for when purchasing one? I basically just want to store all my music files (wav) only on it and thats it. I have seen so many option and don't want to screw it up. My budget is £50 ish, not sure if that can stretch to 1TB but can work with 500G if I can upgrade in the future. I was looking at these:

By the time you've put some actual drives in it the price would be a tad over budget (like triple). Still the way to go though imo. I gave up on cheap NAS drives because the ones I tried were invariably too slow. I went for a D-Link DNS-323 which is the same sort of thing as that Netgear and having raid makes losing data a lot less likely.0

I use a Buffalo Linkstation Live. To be honest the DLNA media steaming is not great, for example, when I stream music to the TV the artist name refuses to display for all tracks. There are other bugs too.0
