Peacock's refund advise please

Hi there,
I was hoping someone on Money Saving Expert could help me regarding a problem I have with the clothes shop Peacocks.
Just before Christmas I purchased some items online. They all arrive fine and so I tried on the items but 2 pieces of clothing where to big so I packaged them up and sent them back for a refund.
I while later I received an emailing confirming a refund but for only 1 out of 2 pieces.
I contacted Peacocks customer services and they confirmed 2 items had been returned which is correct and that I would received payment with 7 days.
After nearly 2 weeks still no refund appeared on my statement so I contacted them again and they said a refund for both items had been refunded which is not true.
They did say I could however send them my December bank statement to the address they provided as proof.
My bank statement does show just the 1 refund out of the 2 items so I can send them my December statement but is forwarding a copy of bank statement safe? I am concerned as it has all my transactions and account details for them to freely read?
I am annoyed that I am having to send them a statement at my own cost however small when it clearly shows I have only received one refund.
Surely Peacock's must know all the transactions and refunds and have them logged to check.
Sorry to go on but it is a refund for £30 and I don’t even have the items i returned or my refund.
Many thanks for any suggestions and advice
Jess

I think the point is that their records show they have paid you. Yet you claim not to have received all of it.
They could resolve this in two ways. They could give you a transaction reference, then ask you to contact the bank and find out what happens. While they trace it from their end.
Alternatively, they can get proof from you that the refund didn't arrive in your account. Presumably, they feel that this is quicker and easier for you.
I would contact them and ask if they mind if you 'tippex' out privateinformation from the statement. Or ask them what other procedure you can follow.
Perhaps they will accept a signed statement from you that the refund hasn't arrived.0
