The bit I couldn't understand was where they say about how clever the hacker is and how they would employ him/her but won't because of the lack of morals that the hacker has. Sarcasm is not professional for a Company.
I found it funny, It's a tongue in cheek message that their skills are highly valuable & sought after, and that its such a shame that they are using them to commit crime instead of putting them towards the greater good.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
Thanks for posting. My lovely sister bought me loads of Lush goodies during that period. I've just emailed her the link.0

I know it was meant tongue in cheek but very inappropriate for a professional Company.0 -

It was hilarious!Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -
I don't think it's hilarious. I'm thinking of all the hassle I'm going to have trying to return goods to shops that were purchased on the card I've had to cancel because of Lush's incompetance. Shops will only give a refund to the card that was used for the purchase.
And I've also asked Lush what other information they held as I'm now worried about identity theft.
Not hilarious now is it?0 -

nono people can put something on your computer where they can control it as if they were the user of it, so they can see everything you can do and use your pc remotely from their home and open files etc see what you are doing and just watch your screen. so if you type your card details they can see you doing it. and tbh i wouldnt personally trust your card details if you had used them even back in march, because if they hacked into the site its possible their database is been hacked as this is probably the most common way that hackers can get these sort of things. if their database has been hacked you dont know if your card details are still stored, but your address etc i would guess is.Who would say I couldn't make you mine? You were mine since th' beginning of time. Who would say we were far apart? You ever reside in the core of my heart?

I can say that card fraud and identity fraud is stressful and awful.
I've had my cards done twice last year - its an awful sinking feeling when the fraud squad ring you. First time I was a right stress head at work as they rang to ask if I was in the UK or USA as I was about to head into class - someone had hacked my card/details and was using htem in the states to buy a car:eek: luckily HSBC picked up on it.
2nd time round some low life was trying to set up a Sky package with my details - again the bank picked it up - so was left with £10 for a week when I was meant to be xmas shopping - luckily I can borrow off my parents and went to the bank counter to get an emergency £100 - but had to take so much ID to prove who I was.
Now if I buy a big item/holiday I have to basically ring the bank to pre authorise it, I bet my credit rating is now bad as my account was frozen for a week - so store card payments were classed as late.
So now I'm hinking I got Mum some Retro Lush for her birthday in November - so yes must of used my card during October. This may of been where my card was done the 2nd time - dont know the dates until I find the bank details as I've recently shredded receipts.
Great eh another sleepless night worrying my cards been done again, just hope my only Lush online buy was before my new card - not after otherwise I'll have to cancel my cards for a 3rd time:mad:
Personally I'm not liking the sarcastic Lush website - will be sticking to buying instore at the mo. If I work out my card was cloned/used sometime in October before the bank picked up on it I shall have a good guess at where it was done, hope thats the case!
Also hope everyone else has not been done and is ok and gets their cards/banks sorted ok.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

If anyone has had their card details stolen I would check your credit file to see if you have had any accounts opened in your name!
I really sympathise with any of you affected by this worrying Lush fiasco
I know earning cashback won't be your top priority right now but just thought I'd remind anyone looking to check their credit file that Topcashback are currently offering £16.66 cashback for an Equifax credit report (ends 23rd Jan). The deal is, new members can get a free 30 day trial, so get your free report and cancel your membership before the trial period ends and you don't need to pay anything.
I figure it's worth getting something back if you're going to do it anyway. I did it yesterday, it's pretty straightforward and only takes about 5 mins to sign up and get your report.
Martin's email, this week, featured this offer and a link to the MSE Credit Rating guide for more info:
