For 3 days now my laptop has gone on meltdown (virtual memory too low) i have a sony vaio plenty of ram (768) i have full security macafee and run several spyware programes regular so pretty sure i'm not infected.
The loading light on the laptop is on most of the time as thou somthing is running and everything is very very very slow. Then now and again it seems to catch up with itself and be ok for a while and then bang (virtual memory out) and back to being very slow.
Any ideas?

Hi
Capicity 18.6gb used 9.7 gb i have 45 processes running utilisation colum header?0 -
if you go into task manager, processes tab, there is a utilisation column, click on it, and it sorts the processes into order, so that the one that is hogging the cpu is at the top.
you have plenty of disk space (virtual memory uses hd space), so that is not the problemEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
