Lloyds Vantage Current Account

In August- September 2009 I opened 3 Lloyds current accounts and transferred 1k between each to benefit from the interest, which was great. Impressed with Lloyds i took out the duo credit cards.
In October 2010, making usual transactions, 1 of the current accounts, i used to make a pay off my credit card bill in, they blocked payment from current account and reversed payment. And then proceed to block all my 3 Lloyds current accounts and credit cards.
I wrote Lloyds a complaint letter, and they stated we can choose to terminate your accounts anytime.
I went into branch today and told the branch advisor i need to pay off my credit card bill as originally i wanted to and want to unblock my current accounts. He stated there’s a central team review, we don’t want you to bank with us, and please handover all your credit cards and Lloyds debit card.
Can they just do that?
I don’t get it.

Yes, unfortunately they can do that, a bank can chose with whom it wants to do business with, but if they don't like you then it's their loss, just take your money elsewhere :j0

I'd be furious - but yes, they can do it.
Just hope this isn't the start of a review of all multiple Vantage account holders to weed out those of us using this current account as a savings account.......0 -
I know, im so furious.
Its so unfair, i cannot find an alternative account elsewhere that matched the interest rate.
I cant believe this is how they treat their customer, who is in credit, pays bills on time and not overdrawn- we dont want you to bank with us anymore- !!!!!!?0 -

£21,000 earning 4%, credit card paid on time, not overdrawn.
You're uneconomic. There's the door...0 -

Looking through your other earlier posts you seem to have had some "difficulties" with Lloyds. I have to confess I did not really understand the credit card payment problem thread - but I am not alone in this respect - other posters stated they could not understand the issue clearly either.
Then there was the small matter of the £1000 which as you said - quoting from your post "had been taken from account twice randomly which i had not authorised": which Lloyds later refunded.
I can only imagine Lloyds have reviewed your account(s) and decided that they do not want you as a customer anymore. Any business is quite free to decide who they want as customers.
It may surprise you that in business to business commerce it is quite common for suppliers to "blacklist" certain customers who mess them around and refuse to do any further business with them - and if said customers cannot find an alternative supplier for the required product it is generally found that the said customer re-approaches the supplier with a considerable change of attitude!0
