well personally i feel that if a company is gunna do a huge sale like this then they should have the servers that have the capability to cope with the excessive traffic! but oh well....maybe next time!

Thats the thing, it wasnt a huge sale, they had 5 £1 rooms availble for each night up till the end of April. They arent a huge company so probably cant justify spending money on servers, its only a few times a year they do this. Its just down to luck I suppose.

Well done to all who got one. I have stayed there twice ( way back when this promotion first started.)
Lovely comfortable clean hotel. Breakfast included delivered to your room ( a bag with an orange juice, nice yoghurt and a banana)

Last time I went with my two sisters we asked for and got a fold up bed so we were able to sleep 3. My younger sister used it as she is tiny and found the little bed was comfortable. Jamie Olivers 15 Restuarant is nearby. The area is not great but it is safe enough. There is a costcutter supermarket across the road for drinks etc.

And again well done to all. I could not get on the site through Google Chrome bit did get on through Internet Explorer but all rooms were gone.

  • hey ho - that was most unrewarding - funny thing was - even trying to book a room at normal rate did not bring up the calendar - seems a bit of a mess to me. Why were some people able to get on and others not (I know all previous sales have tales of success and failure - but this time it didn't seem like that)

I supopose it is luck, but whenever a company does a rush like this its near on impossible to get through their servers, however, when Travel Lodge do a sale its normally quite easy, not 100%, but even it it means changing your dates you can get a good deal, whereas with this as far as i can see not very many people managed to get a room! im sure they do it for a reason but to me these 'sales' just put me off the actual company. I was going to book for valentines as they advertised on the sale page, for £89pn but i couldnt get through to their orginal site to see what the hotel even looked like! lost custom i think.....
