Paying Into LTSB Through Post Office

Hey,

Just wondering, when paying cash into a LTSB account through the post office does anyone know how long it'll take to credit as the cashier didn't know.

Matt

My Mum pays me £3.00 a week (long story!!!!) she uses my paying in book at her post office. Post office and branch in same town, if that makes any difference.

She pays in at around 9.00am Tuesday Morning and its in LTSB on Thursday of same week and cleared.

When I pay in cash, it arrives the next day in the account.

I would watch out with cheques, you have to get green envelopes from the bank. And it has taken ages for them to be paid into the account, never mind the usual 4-5 days to clear.

I wonder why they don't just let you pay in cash with the card and clear it straight away like alliance and leicester et al...but that would be too easy!

When I use the green envelope at the PO for Lloyds it always shows in my account the next day. I asked at the PO and they say as long as its before their 3.45pm cut off it should be there the following day.
