fitted wardrobe incorrect

I brought a fitted wardrobe and a fitted childrens bedroom suite on the 4th oct. I paid a £800 deposit and the remaining £3000 was put on credit (which im paying 95 a month). A few days after I ordered the items the sales rep called and asked how id like the hanging in the childs wardrobe. I asked for full and the call ended. A few minutes later a called back and asked for two rails instead which I was told would be passed onto the factory. A few days after this I recied the original plans for the wardrobe. This showed errors in the sliding wardrobe, where the fitted draws would be obstructing the power/tv points. Again I called starplan and the sales rep assured us he wouldn amend the plans and forward to the factory, however he would like to come back to the house to ensure his measurements were correct. I said this was fine and awaited his call with a date he would come out.

A week passed and no visit, I called the showroom and was told it was all inhand, powerpoints will be cut out the plans were amended. The day came when the wardrobes were being fitted, and I was pleased, however the fitted asked me to call the showroom as the draws on the childrens bed were unable to be opened as they hit the side of the radiator (a measuring error). I called the showroom who said it was easy to do and ask the fitters to take 5mils of the wardrobe. And push the bed into the new gap. I thought this strange as the bed was fully fitted amnd would mean the whole instation being removed, however the fitters left as they can onl build the wardrobes to plan. Following this error I looked over both bedroom packages a spotted lots of errors and flaws. I called starplan again and they agreed to send out an inspector.

Two weeks later the. Inspector came and noted the damage/errors/flaws. However they are unwilling to refit the childrens bedpackage as theyve already chacked the plaster on the walls and they think it would damage the walls further. The panals that you can see are being replaced and the flaws there solution is to iron on new tape to cover the errors. Ive had to fight also for the wardrobe layout to be changed as it means the whole wardrobe would need to be takenout.

On leaving they said they would contact me with what they. Were going to do and book a.fitting date..... As to yet they have not called and all messages which have been left have not been responded. I am going into the showroom tomorrow to find out whats happening.

As I paid the deposit by credit card can I claim a refund under section 75 and will this cover the finance also?

    Hi

I'm having problems with Starplan too. We purchased fitted wardrobes, and the fitter has been and gone and left us with wardrobes we are not happy with.

Everytime we called them, the ignored our calls or flogged us off to shut us up for a few days. There is a massive gap at the back of the bedside cabinet, they didn't stick to the plan, and panels are already becoming loose.

Spoke to the manager today and he is no better then the sales people. Was not willing to answer the questions put forward to him and was unhelpful and rude.

We had the wardrobes fitted at the beginning of the month and have to wait till the end of next month to get someone out to look at it. Legally I do not know where I stand as we start paying the monthly installments next month and I do not want to pay anything until they habe sorted out the mistakes.

    Not sure what to do
