Past Speeding Fines

I've put my name forward to be a Sports Volunteer in my local area and they're having to do a CRB check. Just got an email from them asking for me specific details of my speeding offences over 3 years ago. Well, I don't have any details or papers about them and my memory's patchy at the best of times.
Is there anyone I can contact to get full specifics of these?

Write to the police and ask them for your record? Think they take £10.0

Do they say how far you have to go back? I'd imagine it's 5-years. Are the details not on your counterpart driving licence, as people tend to forget to update these when the points have expired.0

It will be shown on your licence for 4 years, Longer if you dont send it off to get them removed.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Is this coming from the CRB check or from another form you filled in?
The reason I ask is that speeding doesn't usually show up on a CRB check (unless it's a very serious case) anything which does show up should have all the details anyone needs. Did you have to fill out another form on which you wrote down your speeding convictions and you are getting asked for more information because they don't show up on your CRB check?
Either way just write them an honest letter with the details that you remember, unless you are being asked to drive others in your volunteering "job" your driving history isn't relevant.
If you have any problems forget about this position and look for something else to volunteer for, decent volunteers are hard to find and other groups would welcome you.0 -
Speeding offences aren't on a CRB, we where all CRB'd at work a few years ago and nobody, including those with speeding convictions was told that they would appear.
As far as I am aware it will show police cautions though.
I assume you wrote down the points down on the form?
If so just right back to them with the details, surely you can remember one speeding offence, they will want to know the code assigned to your offence SP30, SP40 etc.
I assume they may want you to drive a minibus or something and need the details for the insurance company as they probably allow one speeding offence.
As already mentioned a speeding offence will stay on your licence for a certain period of time, it was 5 1/2 yrs when I got caught speeding in 1990, but the points only count towards a totting up ban for 3 years.
If it was just over 3 years ago it will be on your licence.0 -
I doubt this info will be for a CRB put they'll possibly need it if putting you on to their insurance. Have you asked why they need this?0
