AViVA/Quidco got a good offer on at the moment
AVIVA, although quite expensive, have an offer of 3 months free = 25% off
If you go through Quidco you also get [strike]£60[/strike] £70 cashback to boot!
A good offer.
But you should still shop around for better quotes.
When I go for a quote (before doing the real quote & buy through Quidco) I put in fake name, email, and adress, phone number and I don't use the vehicle registration, I pick the make and model from the lists.... That way you get your quote but you don't get Aviva saying later that you did not originally come from quidco to get a quote and thus lose the £60.
Don't forget to clear your cookies & history before going through Quidco.

Read the policy before you buy it to be sure you are happy with their offer:
eg. note the additional compulsory excess you have to pay should you not be happy with having to let their nominated repairer fix your car and prefer to use your own choice of repairer (as is your right!)
Then read up on their "service" (search here and on the net).0 -

Indeed, not a good track record.0 -
Quentin that's only if it's a fault claim and you are claiming off your own insurance. If it is a non fault claim, you will be claiming off the third party and so can use who you want.
I got my insurance in Nov from Aviva through Topcashback, it was the cheapest quote and cashback on top.0 -
It's £70 cashback isn't it?
ecar is £60 cashback and RAC £53.53 on topcashback - may produce a better net price0 -
All the main comparison sites were very expensive this year, £150 more than my current renewal.
Look online for forums/clubs for your make & model of car, They may have an insurance company that
can do you a good deal.
Depends where you live though, The company i use say not to bother getting a quote if you live in a Bradford
postcode. Prices are very very high. But other companies may not be.
You really must shop around.
AVIVA & RAC wanted between £700 and £800, I paid £450 for this years premium.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Yes they are expensive, but people should still get a quote. I always advocate shopping around, it's the only way to get the best deal. I think people should use comparison sites to see what comes up -don't rely on them- but should also visit quidco and topcash and get individual quotes with their affiliates.
Was your quote done whilst AVIVA had this offer on? and do you qualify for the offer? I think you need atleast 4years NCB to qualify, £700 without the offer from AVIVA would become about £510 with the offer - £70 = £4400 -
yep, they want £800 to insure hubbys passat diesel (4 yr old car, no claims discount of 9yrs, hubby is 45yrs old !!!!!!) as opposed to Swiftcover who want £350 who we've been insured with for the last year, that's a massive difference for so called '3 months free insurance' and £80 cashback, think I'll give it a missAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00

Again, be sure you really want to have Swiftcover as your insurer - they are cheap for a reason!
Read their policy and note the differences between them and others (eg they make you agree to let them use "recycled parts" when repairing your car, they will only pay out what their own repairer would charge (using the recycled parts), making it nearly impossible to use your own choice of repairer, a windscreen claim means no NCD is awarded, they say policy is invalid if you have no MOT, (although we and they know this is unenforceable!).
Then search on here and on the net for reviews of their service!0
