Ethical life assurance - any pointers?

I've got a home visit from our local co-operative insurance bloke on the cards .We want to get some sort of life insurance policy sorted out .We bank with th coop because of their ethical credentials , but does anyone know of any other companies who have tidy investment policies ?
All help appreciated , including what questions I need to ask.
Have had a good look around this site , and it's armed me somewhat!
Thanks.

certain ethical credentials. I personally dont like that the contribute to the Labour party. I dont find that ethical.

Yes. Any local IFA. A much better option than CIS. Cheaper and whole of market fund range (albeit with your restriction to only include ethical investments). One assumes you have filled in an ethical questionnaire with CIS? These are normal when investing as it gives you a chance to say what your ethics are as mandatory requirements, nice to have requirements and areas you dont care about.
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.
  • Right you are ! I'll cast the net wider.CIS have sent broad feedback forms about which particular issues I'd like them to support.I duly fill 'em in and send 'em back.
    Cheers.
