Not as cheap as the beetroot option, but works out at about 40 p a jar. I'm sure you can buy them cheaper elsewhere if you do a google search.
I was quite annoyed with lakeland that you have to buy the lids separately.
I've done some homework when it comes to jars and if anyone can find a reliable supply cheaper than 20p each please let me know because I feel like I've looked everywhere. My Doctor told me that "1 out of 3 people who start smoking will eventually die." The other two apparently became immortal.

My OH says.... "loads of jam tarts!!" but he loves them so he's biased
I used to make jam rock bisbuits when I was little.... they are like jam tarts but the jam is sealed inside... yummy yummy0 -
You can certainaly make rock buns only without the dried fruit make a well with your thumb in the middle and add a teaspoon of jam. Rather nice.
Mind you I think you'd have to make a lot of buns.
Doughnuts?
Queen of Puddings?
Sponge cake with Jam filling?
Add some to a crumble/pie to sweeten it rather than sugar (with the fruit - not in the crumble!)
Heated and poured over Ice Cream.
Sponge pudding with Jam in the base?
Well that should keep you amused!:D I am now devoid of adjectives!
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -
I know it's a bit late for you now, but you could ask on freecycle for jars.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

Nooooooooooooooooo, don't throw it away! Get it in the freezer and decide later! You could mix it with an equal amount of fruit for pies or crumble.
Or, make jam wine, I have a great recipe I have made lots of times, pm me if you want it.
