best diesel for my budget

hello i have searched through countless adverts for diesels online but i have got to the point of overload, al i want is some bias opinions on a good diesel for around £1,800 mark it doesn’t matter about size my only preference is that its ok on fuel, insurance and falls into lower tax bracket e.g.: 125 for year, also if anyone is selling anything i live in Wolverhampton so anything with 40-50 mile radius is good.

Many French cars at this price (only if you are desperate) also many mega miles Octavias, me think you can probably get a 100k out of one that did only 150k miles.
